Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions form a binding agreement between you (“the customer”) and CaliBean Coffee Machines, owned and operated by Abe (“CaliBean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Our goal is to provide clear, fair, and reasonable terms that protect both our customers and our business while setting appropriate expectations when purchasing premium coffee machines and related equipment.

By placing an order with CaliBean Coffee Machines, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

While issues are uncommon and most situations are straightforward, these Terms exist to guide resolution if circumstances fall outside the ordinary.

Warranty and Support

Espresso machines and grinders are precision mechanical devices. While rare, faults can occur. If you experience an issue, please remain calm and work with us. Our priority is to help reach a fair and effective solution.

Before requesting service, customers should review the troubleshooting resources provided by CaliBean and submit a request via the Support Form.

If a simple solution is identified, we may guide you directly. Any self-service or self-repair is undertaken entirely at your own risk and should only be performed by individuals with appropriate mechanical and electrical competence. CaliBean Coffee Machines accepts no liability for damage or injury resulting from self-service or unauthorized repair.

If professional assessment or repair is required, CaliBean will refer you to the nearest authorized service technician. Customers are responsible for transporting their equipment to the technician. This process reflects standard industry practice for premium espresso equipment.

Some technicians may offer pickup, return, or on-site service for an additional fee. Availability and pricing are determined by the technician and must be discussed directly with them.

After inspection, if the issue is covered under warranty, the technician will complete the repair and invoice CaliBean Coffee Machines for approved parts and labor. If the issue is not covered under warranty, the technician will provide the customer with a quotation for parts and labor.

Warranty determinations are not always straightforward. CaliBean relies on the expertise of authorized technicians and will honor their professional assessment. By purchasing from CaliBean Coffee Machines, customers agree to accept these determinations.

Warranty Coverage

For residential or domestic use, warranty coverage includes parts and labor.
For commercial or business use, warranty coverage includes parts only.

The warranty period is twenty-four months for Profitec, Lelit, La Pavoni, Dr Coffee, and Gaggia machines. All other brands carry a twelve-month warranty unless otherwise stated.

During the Warranty Period

Minor failures, such as the failure of an individual component, will be repaired rather than replaced. CaliBean Coffee Machines reserves the right to repair equipment, as these machines are designed to be serviced and maintained rather than discarded. Requests for full replacement due to minor issues are not considered reasonable.

Major failures are those that cannot be reasonably remedied through repair or component replacement. In such cases, a replacement or refund may be offered. Minor issues do not qualify for replacement or refund.

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper maintenance, user error, unauthorized modification, poor water quality, scale buildup, vermin damage, or environmental factors. Damage caused by excessive force, such as overtightening valves, is also excluded. Consumable or perishable components such as seals, gaskets, springs, and similar items are not covered. Operational noises assessed by technicians as normal are not covered.

After the Warranty Period

After the warranty period has expired, minor failures are not covered. CaliBean Coffee Machines will continue to assist customers by directing them to qualified service technicians.

In limited cases, major failures caused by manufacturing defects may still warrant remedy where required by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

CaliBean Coffee Machines is not responsible for any direct or indirect loss, damage, injury, or property damage arising from incorrect installation, improper use, failure to maintain equipment, unauthorized servicing, self-repair, electrical issues, plumbing issues, or non-compliance with manufacturer instructions.

Coffee Results Disclaimer

Taste and beverage quality are subjective. Refunds or exchanges are not available based on dissatisfaction with coffee flavor, texture, or results in the cup.

No coffee machine guarantees a specific taste outcome. Requesting a refund due to dissatisfaction with coffee results is comparable to requesting a refund for an oven because it did not produce a preferred loaf of bread.

Automatic machines offered by CaliBean Coffee Machines are among the best available in their category, but they are not designed to replicate café-quality milk texturing or barista-level results. Commercial cafés use manual equipment and trained baristas for this reason.

Manual espresso machines require learning, practice, and adjustment. CaliBean Coffee Machines provides educational resources and, for local customers, complimentary training. Successful results depend on user engagement and willingness to learn.

Shipping and Delivery

Estimated delivery times are two to four business days within California, four to seven business days to other U.S. states, and seven to ten business days for non-metro locations.

While the majority of shipments arrive on time, delays and losses can occasionally occur.

If a shipment is less than one week late, customers should continue monitoring tracking updates. If a shipment is one to two weeks late, customers should contact the courier directly to request an investigation. If a shipment is more than two weeks late, customers should contact CaliBean Coffee Machines so a lost-parcel claim can be initiated.

All shipments are insured. Replacement of goods will only occur after the courier officially declares a parcel lost. CaliBean Coffee Machines will not replace items that are still in transit.

CaliBean Coffee Machines is responsible for supplying goods to the courier. Customers are responsible for receiving deliveries. If a shipment is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the parcel will be resent at the customer’s expense. Any courier redelivery fees will be passed on to the customer.

Once tracking confirms delivery, responsibility transfers to the recipient. Any loss after delivery must be pursued directly with the courier. Late delivery does not constitute grounds for cancellation.

Payments, Deposits, and Refunds

Once payment or a deposit is received, CaliBean Coffee Machines may reserve inventory, order stock, bench-test equipment, and arrange logistics.

Payment constitutes a binding agreement to proceed. Refunds are issued only if CaliBean Coffee Machines is unable to fulfill the order.

Refunds are not provided for change of mind, delivery delays outside our control, or customer preference changes.

Deposits and payments are non-transferable. Minor adjustments may be considered at CaliBean’s discretion but are not guaranteed, particularly for special orders or reserved stock. Any accommodation beyond this policy is voluntary and exceeds legal requirements.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
